Fun with overthinking!
I personally “think” there’s nothing wrong with overthinking … Some of my greatest feats are accomplished when I hash out all the possibilities, then at the end. Nailed it. 🙂

Reported in local news (source komonews.com) that Seattle breaks record with rain on 30 days in the month of January. It sure was nice to get a blast of sunshine on Superbowl Sunday, but it sure has turned back to pissing rain. Again. I’m calling out to mother nature. Dear ‘Mother Nature’, if we can’t get sunshine just yet, can’t we just get snow?! Here’s a short video clip of my puppy happy in the snow. Enjoy!
The moral of the post: “Think before you speak or take any action. When you put out negativity, it comes back to you. When you stay positive, that also comes back to you.” Author Nancy Wunderlich.
This is so appropriate today to remember this statement of what my dear friend Nancy blogged on her website lifecoachingboulder.com.
Why, you might ask? I’ll tell you why. I’ve been struggling with a sinus cold the whole month of January. It happens to me every year as it’s a seasonal thing, but this time it really got to me with an additional coat of depression. I had no motivation to go out, exercise, commit to scheduled business meetings, or smile. Really, that’s how bad it’s gotten. Also this month was the end of a steady income and a start of a scary entrepreneurship I’m working on. I’ve had a big weight of burden on me.
Even this morning when I drove my boyfriend John and my puppy Beebe to work, John wished me to get better soon. I can tell he really meant it and was concerned. It got me concerned with my head starting to pound with a headache. So I came back home and napped to music that Nancy recommended and woke up an hour later. No headache, and I had some energy to clean up my desk and straighten up mail that was left there. I opened up the mail that I should have read three weeks ago, but going through it now with a better head on my shoulder.
The first letter was a medical bill that has gone to collection. I decided to read it and they were reaching out to collect and resolve obviously, but they gave a good solution of cutting the bill to a reasonable payment in full. I was happy to pay that new amount and called them to do the payment. Done! No more collection on that medical bill which made me relieved. Next, I opened up my mother’s letter she sent to me for my birthday on January 19. I found some cash in there and instantly made me smile! Bam! I said out loud with a happy smile. “Thank you Mom!” Then I searched in my makeup bag for something and lo and behold, I found two bucks that made me laugh! I snorted, “Wow! Lunch money!” While I finished up my mail I finally opened up my Costco annual bill which I only thought it was a bill for the annual membership, but turned out to be something additional attached. What do you think it was? Yes, I got my executive rewards refund check! Instantly I was gratified and shocked at the same time that the refund was big enough for a shopping spree of what we normally spend at Costco. Nice! I blurted out. I said out loud “OMG, Thank you and what a surprise!”
You see, I’m so sincerely grateful of all the magical miracles that happened to me this morning. Manifestation is real. Just writing this makes me smile and lifts my spirits with hopefulness and happiness! Even though I woke up crappy, down, and depressed something shifted when I acknowledged I needed help. I didn’t want this depression to run my life. I’ve documented this on a personal video and I might share it, but for now I am happy to tell you! I’m happy to have a loving relationship with my boyfriend, an extraordinary dear friend and life coach, an understanding collector, a thoughtful mother, and a fantastic membership with a wholesale store.
This brings me back to Nancy’s blog. This video I did as a prototype for her in November 2019 is unpolished and we decided to do a different video project, but this message is clear. “I have the ability to create with my thoughts, words, and actions. I am choosing wisely with positive words and saying it out to the Universe. “
*A note about the video, this was created using Adobe Captivate and the character assets come with it. It’s an awesome software for instructional design, but I’ve moved onto using Adobe Premiere Pro for my video creative work.
Hello World! I’ve created a YouTube channel for Red Tri Aussie Productions. I’ll upload my short story videos there about Beebe and her adventures along with my project video work too! Watch them! Like them! and Subscribe to my channel! More original work uploading soon. Stay tuned!
Lately I’ve been learning a whole lot of a great many things I’ve been curious about. From digital marketing, animation, project management, story telling, to building a website. I can’t complain with the extra time I’ve been given and what I’m doing with that time is spending it wisely on learning something new. Then with that new knowledge, I’m putting it into applicable practice to do my own testing of competency. It’s my own challenge to myself to surpass my learning goals set on LinkedIn Learning. I have buzzing energy to keep learning. I have an addiction to learning!
Wow! I ask myself why am I so excited about learning? It has to be because I have the choice to pick and choose which course to complete. There’s so many choices on any given topic and authors. I can flag the courses by saving them, and then go back to start the introduction. If I like the trainer from the first impression, then I continue on. There are times when I will start the training and may get distracted. Then I have to stop it, and I can easily pick it back up at a later time. I find it helpful for the courses that have quizzes in between each chapter. If I miss the answer, I have the choice to pick the next answer to find the correct one. Or, pass through to the next question. To me, it’s just empowering to learn more about what I was curious about and already interested in, and not something that is mandatory for me to learn.
